Doug Westcott, PGA
Honorary Chairman

Doug is the Director of Golf at Desert Highlands Golf Club in Scottsdale, Arizona. He has held this position at Desert Highlands since 2004. Doug began his career at Grayhawk Golf Club where he became a PGA Class A member in 1999. Prior to taking his current position, Doug was the Head Golf Professional at Grayhawk Golf Club. Doug enjoys being involved in the local SWSPGA chapter. Doug has served on the SWSPGA Foundation Board since 2010. He held a seat on the Board from 2010-2015 as Board Member, Chairman of the SWSPGA Foundation from 2016-2019 and currently holds the position of Honorary Chairman since 2020. Doug has found a passion in the philanthropy of the PGA and enjoys using the game of golf to make a difference in lives that are less fortunate. Doug was the recipient of the 2016 Southwest PGA’s Bill Strausbaugh Award, presented to PGA Members for distinguished efforts in mentoring other PGA Professionals and supporting them in both employment and community service.

Prior to his professional career, Doug grew up in Indiana where he became an accomplished junior golfer, competing in numerous AJGA events and a member of the Kokomo HS State Championship Team. He attended Purdue University and was a member of the University’s Golf Team from 1988 to 1992. Prior to joining Desert Highlands, Doug served as Head Professional at Grayhawk Golf Club in Scottsdale. Doug is blessed with four daughters, age ranging from 10 to 20 years old. In spare time he focuses his time enjoying his family.
