SWPGA Junior Prep Tour

Southwest PGA Junior Prep TourThe very popular Southwest PGA Junior Prep Tour has been a breeding ground for top junior golfers for over 35 years.  The tour is a series of one-day tournaments in June-July for boys and girls 18 and under.  There are six (6) separate Districts in Arizona and Southern Nevada with six events in each District.  Players can qualify to play in the season ending Southwest PGA Junior Prep Tour Championship held at Oakcreek Country Club in Sedona, Arizona through regular season play with a three-round minimum and a stroke average based on age group (Boys 9-10, 7-8, 5-6 and Girls 11-12, 9-10, 7-8, 5-6 do not have stroke average requirements).

Participants play in the following divisions. Cost is listed for members/non-members:

Tour Membership

One membership covers all Southwest PGA Junior Prep Tour events for 2023. This membership package includes:

  • Reduced entry fee (50%) in all Southwest PGA Junior Prep Tour events.
  • Southwest PGA Junior Prep Tour tee gifts.
  • Access to the Youth on Course program.
  • Family Discount - Each additional family member that registers for SWPGA Junior Prep Tour membership will receive a $10 credit towards their event of choice. Please email hkolesar@pgahq.com one week prior to the event receive this credit.
  • Membership is NOT required but IS encouraged and will also reduce each event fee.
  • Option to add membership will be available during event registration (see 2023 schedule below).
  • Membership is good for the 2023 SWPGA Junior Prep Tour season.

Financial Aid

The Southwest PGA can help Southwest PGA Junior Golf members who have financial need with assistance in entering Southwest PGA Junior Prep Tour tournaments. Financial Aid may be given for one of more Southwest PGA tournaments upon application.

  • Candidates must be a member of the Southwest PGA Junior Prep Tour.
  • Candidates must show outstanding character, honesty, integrity, and abide by all of the policies and procedures of the Southwest PGA.
  • Financial need will be determined on the application submitted.
